My name is Hayley Kapperer and I am the owner/baker/maker behind flavour + heart.
I'm not a trained baker or a chef, I'm a passionate self-taught baker who lives and breathes food. To me cooking is stress relief,
it's relaxing, it's fulfilling and it makes me incredibly happy.
I am fascinated by macarons. The first time I ate one I was instantly enchanted but after my first time making them (which was an absolute disaster) - I was hooked.
Anyone who has cooked a macaron knows they take a bit more than your standard sweet treat and this is why I love them.
I love the fact that one little thing can be challenging and temperamental but at the same time beautiful and ridiculously delicious.
